A formula lookup and case-recording tool for paint mixing, connecting color-code searches, quantity calculations and records of the work actually performed. It suits users who already have standard formulas, need to reuse them at different quantities and want to build a personal collection of mixing cases. A calculation can become a reference for the next job.
From colour card to required quantities
- Choose the card and total quantity: Start by finding a published color card by name or code, confirming the color, uploading a photo for the current job and entering the total weight required.
- Scale the existing formula: The tool lists the quantity of each colorant based on the selected card's existing formula, giving the user a material preparation guide. When the total changes, quantities follow the same formula proportions, removing the need to calculate each ingredient separately.
Photos provide a record of the job; the selected color card supplies the formula.
Turn a calculation into a working case
- Save the current case: After calculating, users can choose to save a favorite case containing the card, total quantity, original calculation and photos. Reopening it brings the original selection and quantities back together, avoiding the difficulty of matching photos with formulas and notes stored elsewhere.
- Record actual adjustments: If the mix is adjusted during the work, users can edit each actual colorant weight in the saved case while retaining the original formula record. They can also add notes, working steps and process photos.
The same case then shows both the initial preparation and what was actually done, providing context for similar work later. Photos are saved with the favorite case; running a calculation alone is not the same as completing the case record.
Maintainable colour cards and references
Administrators can maintain color cards and formulas, their display order and publication status, with member video content also available to view. Users focus on everyday lookup and personal case records, while maintainers keep the reference material organized and available. The tool turns existing mixing knowledge into working records that can be found, scaled and revisited, with calculations grounded in the chosen color card.
