Project overview

A voice replication and narration experiment for individual creators, bringing sample recording, voice creation and text-to-speech into one page. It supports exploring narration before a final recording, preparing previews of short scripts, and comparing how the same words sound with different voice settings.

From a sample to the first narration

  1. Record and listen: Record your own voice directly in the browser while viewing a timer and waveform. Listen to the sample before deciding whether to use it to create a voice.
  2. Generate after voice creation: After creating a voice, enter a script to generate and play its audio.

This connects sample preparation with narration work and gives the creator a chance to check clarity and suitability before proceeding.

Compare settings and reuse a voice

  • Voice and format: Speed, pitch and volume can be adjusted separately, with MP3 or WAV output and language hints available.
  • Iterate by listening: For a product introduction, lesson opening or video narration, revise the words and settings, then listen again to compare pacing and intelligibility.
  • Load an existing voice: Previously created voices can be loaded and reused, so script revisions do not require a new recording every time.

Recording, creation, generation and error messages show the current stage. The workflow focuses on single-passage narration experiments and voice reuse, helping creators try a short preview before choosing a direction for final production.

Listening review and scope

Its value lies in iterating on words and sound together: hear a draft before deciding how to revise or record it. Use only your own voice or samples with explicit authorization. Similarity, pronunciation and emotional delivery depend on the sample and generated result, so each passage needs a listening review.

Ownership & delivery

I independently designed and delivered the experimental voice tool, including its interactions, recording preparation and third-party speech-service orchestration. Connected sample review, voice creation, parameter adjustment and synthesis into a repeatable workflow for exploring expression with authorized voice samples.
